Trip details

I started a big honking post with a day-by-day account of my trip, but it got unwieldy. So I'm going to back date each day's entries and repopulate the blog. They'll appear as I finish them, in chronological order, interspersed with the original status reports. If you're tracking this with a reader you'll get notices when new posts go up. Otherwise you'll have to keep scrolling down to check for new additions.
