Made it to Cahuita, cr. Howler monkeys roaring a few hundred yards away. Similar spookiness quotient to loons.

Trip down quite long. Three little girls in row ahead of us less than 5 yrs old. At least one crying all way fromChicago to Mexico City.

Cahuita is a dusty little tourist town. My ambition very low, but will come back as I catch up on my sleep.

In other news, it looks like s's is sold.

Hard to write too much using phome thumb pad.

Had a blast at our party last night. Actually, the whole weekend was great.

Now we're sitting at gate 18 at ord international terminal, boarding for cr within the hour. Meanwhile, S just got an offer on her house that is in the ballpark. D is negotiating.

Can't promise further updates as I'm posting from my phone, and don't know when I'll have wifi connection next.

Tired, excited, happy.

4 days later...

I pulled into the garage the other night and found my kitchen counter and sink standing on one side. Then I walked in to what had been my kitchen and found this:

In case you forgot (or never saw) this view from before:

Creepy: In the process of writing this post, when I looped back to my blog dashboard I found ads for kitchen counter tops and kitchen remodeling.

Which rhymes with installing the latest version of picasa on my new laptop and finding it has gone through all my image files on my entire computer and isolated head shots of every person in every photo. It even grabbed individuals out of group shots. Explain why I shouldn't find this a little frightening.

And 10 more days...

We're under roof, thanks to a dry week. You can see three windows have moved south, and one north.

Today they installed the two windows in the south wall, and started framing out the interior walls.

You can see daylight through the window on the right - sky though that NW corner. Hope they get this thing sealed soon.

The other thing you'll notice is there is no flash reflected back to me in the back door. These pictures were taken at about the same time AND THE DAYS ARE GETTING LONGER. Too bad DST kicks in next weekend and sets my morning back - (I know the mnemonic is spring forward.)
