Big city...
After two days of driving I'm in Montreal tonight. Central Montreal. What a beautiful, cosmopolitan place. Sidewalk cafes, dozens of languages, exotic smells, exotic people. I envy my daughter: Twenty, single, and the run of the town.
We arrived early enough to scout out McGill and find the building where her class tomorrow will be. By then we were both drained and starving and so we set out to find an Indian restaurant. (Four criteria: Vegetarian, no wheat, no corn, no MSG.) We just happened to take a couple of right turns and stumbled onto a good one. Or maybe that is part of Montreal's urbanity: turn anywhere and you stumble onto a good one.
Her first class starts at 8:30, so I'll drop her off about 8 and hit the road. Should get to St. Jacobs by early afternoon.
